Travel Tips with babies and toddlers

Here are my TOP TIPS for travelling with babies and toddlers. From my experience these things have helped reduce what can be a stressful time.

Here’s to stress free travelling 🙌

Save on your KGs!

🔹 Save luggage space and kgs – Pack nappies & wipes into the bottom of your buggy. Fold the buggy and hand over at the aircraft door.

🔹Buy an airport buggy bag so your buggy remains clean and dry when it’s taken off the plane (ours was once left out in the rain, we couldn’t use it!) Not ideal with a tired baby!

🔹 For formula fed babies – pre order your formula to pick up at Boots after security. Make sure your buggy has bag clips to pop the bags on. Then pack these into your buggy bag at the aircraft door.

Airport tips;

🔹Stay the night before, it’s less stressful especially with an early flight – hotel & parking packages offer great value and you get to start your holiday a day early.

Check out Holiday Extras for some fab airport parking packages https://www.holidayextras.com/?launch_id=NGSOCIALagent=HEX15

🔹 Use twilight bag drop the night before when there are no queues. Head straight to security the following morning. (Only applies to some airlines)

🔹 Pre prepare medicines and milk in a separate plastic bag so it’s easy to find at security. Don’t forget your sudocream pot!

🔹 Make use of the family queues at security – they tend to be a lot quicker

🔹 Upgrade to fast track – it can be worth every penny!

Plane Tips;

🔹 Book a bassinet seat to lay baby down if your airline offers it. A coZigo creates a darker breathable space for babies to sleep, which means you can get some shut eye too!

🔹If you have a baby and a toddler invest in a buggyboard – they are lifesavers for tired little legs in big airports and it keeps them close at busy times.

🔹 Don’t forget those all important snacks, toys and pads for the plane journey.

🔹If you’re flying EasyJet – they sell 2 activity packs for £5.50 (These are £4 separately in high street shops) Buy them onboard and keep the little ones entertained for hours!
